DAILY CLAIMS HANDLING ADJUSTERS IN FLORIDA
Adjusters are the backbone of BSA Claims Service’s success. We are seeking smart, organized adjusters with advanced Xactimate and customer service skills.
BSA is seeking Daily Liability Claims adjusters in the West Coast/Orlando/Daytona and the South East Florida areas.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- At least (3) three years property claims adjusting experience with proficiency in Xactimate
- Knowledge of construction technology, materials, methodology and pricing.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate relevant information essential to resolving property claims, per carrier’s Best Practices.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and carry appropriate vehicle insurance.
- Must maintain a current/valid adjusting license in the state you are deployed
Recovery Specialist 
BSA is currently seeking candidates for a Recovery Specialist position (temporarily remote) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Purpose
BSA Claims Service’s Recovery Specialists evaluate legal liability and pursue, negotiate, and resolve subrogated and salvage claims.
Responsibilities
- Management of subrogation and salvage claims.
- Identifies legal liability and pursues, negotiates, and settles subrogation collection.
- Researches paid claims, answers inquiries, and coordinates with other departments, insurance adjustors, attorneys, and members.
- Gathers claim information for subpoenas, subrogation and litigation cases.
- Interacts with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and underwriters to recommend and document the necessary information to close a file.
- Collects information needed to determine when an on-site investigation is necessary.
- Identifies and handles subrogation claims against other carriers of policyholders and at-fault parties.
- Identifies damaged items that were considered totaled under 1st party claims and negotiates selling them back to insured for settlement offset
Qualifications
- Two (2) years property claims management experience, including at least one (1) year property claims litigation experience
- Homeowners Subrogation or Salvage claims management experience

LITIGATION SPECIALIST ADJUSTER II
This key role will analyze and investigate litigated personal lines and homeowner claims for both first- and third-party including property, liability and casualty. Exercising independent judgement to review, investigate, evaluate negotiate toward resolution of litigated claims is required. Position is currently remove, return to office in Jacksonville Florida TBA.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: BSA Claims Service’s Litigation Specialists evaluate legal liability and pursue, negotiate, and resolve litigated insurance claims. The position is responsible for the providing professional insurance adjusting services relating to pre-suit mediation, pre-suit appraisal, and litigated claims. Model candidates will possess knowledge of insurance coverage, insurance law, DOI regulations, structural estimates, repair costs, and homeowners’ concepts. Position will direct file handling of litigation pre-suit adjustment and litigation; pre-suit adjustment and litigation; field task assignments for investigation of third-party liability claims; assignment to strategic litigation-related discovery, metrics and reporting projects as business needs require.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Model ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities in accordance with BSA Claims Services core values, ethics, and information protection policies.
- Negotiate and settle claims in accord with BSA Claims Services Best Claims Practices and Estimating Guidelines and industry standards.
- Research, analyze, and interpret policy contracts and state statutes applicable to submitted claims.
- Document relevant information in the electronic claims management system and utilize estimating software.
- Participate in workload surges as needed, to include mandated overtime. May assist other Business Units as needed.
- May coach, counsel or train less experienced staff, may also direct the work of others, may provide input in the performance management, goal setting and review processes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated working knowledge needed to interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and department operational guidelines in daily functions.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows environment.
- Possession of strong customer service skills and professional mediation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to recognize problematic situations and develop creative solutions.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and adapt to frequent priority changes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must meet these requirements
- Four (4) years property claims experience if serving in a property claims role, including at least two (2) years property claims litigation experience; or, four (4) years experience handling third party liability claims if serving in a non-litigated liability claims role; or, four (4) years experience handling third party liability claims, including at least two (2) years experience handling third party litigated liability claims if serving in a litigated liability claims role;
or,
- Hold a Juris Doctor from an institution that is accredited by the American Bar Association, and is properly licensed as an adjuster in the State of Florida, and also has any one of the following:
- a minimum of two (2) years claims experience; or,
- a minimum of eighty (80) cumulative hours of training in programs that are:
- approved by DFS as qualifying for continuing education for property and casualty insurance adjusters as required by Florida Statutes; Section 626.869; or,
- approved by Citizens as qualifying towards litigated claims adjuster training; or, the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter by the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
- An attorney at law duly licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, and is in good standing with The Florida Bar, and is exempt from adjuster licensure pursuant to Florida Statutes; 626.860, and also has any one of:
i. a minimum of one (1) year claims experience; or,
ii. a minimum of one (1) insurance claims litigation experience; or,
iii. a minimum of eighty (80) cumulative hours of training in programs that are either:
- approved by DFS as qualifying for continuing education for property and casualty insurance adjusters as required by Florida Statutes; Section 626.869; or,
- approved by Citizens as qualifying towards litigated claims adjuster training; or,
